Our funeral packages are designed to make planning simpler and more transparent. We understand that every family’s needs, beliefs and budgets are different, so each package offers flexibility and the option to personalise every detail.
Whether you’re arranging a cremation or a burial, our experienced team of funeral directors will walk you through each step. We’ll explain your options clearly, help you with paperwork and logistics, and take care of arrangements so you can focus on remembering your loved one.
Each package includes professional support from a Funeral Director throughout the process – from initial planning to the day of the service. We can assist with venue selection, casket or urn choices, hearse selection, floral tributes, music, readings, transportation, and catering or reception arrangements. Every aspect can be tailored to reflect the personality, values and wishes of the person being honoured.
The cost really comes down to what kind of farewell feels right for your family. A simple cremation with us starts from $3,680 incl. GST, while a full service with catering for up to 100 people comes in from $12,995 incl. GST. Every price is fixed and upfront, so there are no surprises further down the track.
All of our packages cover the essentials: your dedicated funeral director, transport of your loved one, preparation and dressing, all the legal paperwork, and a registered death certificate. From there, each package builds on the last, adding things like venue hire, flowers, music, a video tribute, a celebrant, catering and webcasting. You can see exactly what each one includes in the package list above.
Cremation tends to be simpler to organise and is generally the more affordable route, though it doesn't limit the kind of service you hold or how you choose to remember someone. Burial gives families a permanent place to visit and allows for a graveside service. There is no right or wrong answer, and our team will take the time to help you work out which option suits your family best.
It's a cremation carried out without a formal service beforehand. Families sometimes choose this when they want to keep things simple, or when they plan to hold a separate gathering at a later date. Our Simple Cremation package starts from $3,680 and takes care of everything, including the cremation itself, a standard urn, and returning the ashes to your family.
In some situations, yes. Work and Income New Zealand may be able to provide a funeral grant depending on the financial circumstances of the person who has passed and their family. If the death resulted from an accident, ACC may also be able to contribute. Tell us about your situation as early as you can and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
Yes, there can be. If the person who passed away served in the New Zealand armed forces, financial assistance may be available through Veterans' Affairs New Zealand. We have looked after a number of veterans' funerals and are happy to help you find out what support your family may be entitled to.
It is more common than people think. When someone passes, any bank accounts in their name alone are usually frozen until probate comes through. We ask that the funeral account is settled by the due date, with the understanding that the estate can reimburse those costs once things are finalised. If it helps, we are happy to send a copy of the invoice directly to your solicitor as well.
Just give us a call on 0800 420 470. We are here around the clock, every day of the week. You are also welcome to reach out through our contact page and someone from our team will get back to you quickly. We look after families across Orewa, Whangaparaoa, Silverdale, the wider North Shore and Auckland.
Every package is really just a starting point. We can adjust almost anything, whether that is the casket or urn, the venue, the music, flowers, a video tribute, catering or something else entirely. Our funeral directors will sit down with you and go through everything so the service genuinely reflects who your loved one was.
We do. Getting things sorted ahead of time is one of the most thoughtful things you can do for the people you love. It locks in current pricing and means your family will not have to face those decisions during an already difficult time. Get in touch with us to talk through the options.

Where tradition has value in the life of a family, it should be honoured. Where faith is central, it should be observed.
We work with, and cater to all parishes, faiths and beliefs to ensure both the funeral and reception venue is aligned with the families faith & wishes.
Our funeral directors will provide suggestions and guidance on the funeral options available, including affordable funeral packages and the choices you have.
The death of a loved one is a very difficult time and we respect your needs and circumstances.
We will take care of your loved one, and provide you with exceptional funeral services with over 20 years of dedication to providing memorable funeral services for families throughout the Hibiscus Coast, North Shore, & Greater Auckland Region. Our mission is to make the toughest time in your life just a little bit easier, and enable you to commemorate the life of your loved one in a meaningful, affordable way.
We understand that arranging a funeral can bring unexpected financial pressure. If you have any concerns, please let us know as early as you can – we’re here to help. There may be assistance available, and we can guide you in approaching the appropriate agencies. Depending on the circumstances, support may be available through organisations such as WINZ or ACC, and there are also grants available for veterans.
When someone passes away, bank accounts held solely in their name are usually frozen and may not be accessible until probate is granted. Where possible, having joint bank accounts in place before a death can help avoid delays.
If the estate settlement is delayed due to probate, we ask that the funeral account be paid by the due date. These costs can then be reimbursed from the estate once it has been finalised. We will send our invoice directly to the family, and if helpful, we are also happy to provide a copy to the family’s solicitor.
The person who makes the funeral arrangements with Hibiscus Funerals is ultimately responsible for payment of the account.
Our transparent processes and affordable packages relieve the stress of funeral service costs, so you can have peace of mind that there will be no hidden surprises.
